In Case You Missed It...

Our Fall 2020 Quarterly Meeting was a big hit with our wonderful panelists - Eva Reid, Jen Wennerlund, Jenna Leveille, and Priyanka Miller - sharing insights into their careers, inspirational advice, and some of their favorite books.

Thank you to the panelists for sharing and thank you to all who attended that made this event a success.

As a follow-up here are some of the key take-aways from the meeting:

Six Pieces of Advice
(shared by Jen Wennerlund):

  1. You don’t have to be perfect
    • “Good” is okay if it is your best effort
  2. Nobody goes away
  3. Don’t be a jerk
    • Friends may come and go
    • Enemies accumulate
  4. Do what you feel is right for you
    • This will be different things at different times
  5. Assemble a “kitchen cabinet of advisors”
    • Build your team, Network
  6. If you make a wrong choice, you can make another one

Advice from our panelists

"Relax. Let things go. Let things be a little bit. Learn to listen better."
- Jen Wennerlund

"Do not take yourself so seriously. Have fun. It's okay to make mistakes. It's okay to not have all the answers." - Jenna Leveille

"Be yourself. Ask questions. Pose the question so people know it is there. If you have the question, chances are someone else does, too." - Eva Reid

"Learn to disengage. Give things time to work themselves out. You don't have to jump at everything. Sit back and let things work themselves out. With time, it does happen."
- Priyanka Miller
