Lightning Talk Submission

Call for Lightning Talks

As part of our Fall 2022 meeting, we want to hear about the great work you are doing! Come share your work in a 5-10 minute Lightning Talk on Friday, November 18, 2022 (via Zoom).

The Lightning Talks will take place following our keynote presentation from Maggie Cawley, Executive Director of OpenStreetmap US. To complement Maggie's talk, we would love to have presentations that show the use of OpenStreetMap, but this is not required!

Guidelines

General guidelines for your Lightning Talk:

  • No longer than 10 minutes
  • While we leave the topic up to you, your presentation should include some of the following:
    • lessons learned
    • tips and tricks
    • show how your work is being used (i.e. what value it brings to users)
    • steps you took to complete the project

A Lightning Talk is a great way to not only share your work but also get some presentation experience and contribute to the community. Not sure where to start? Check out this Beginners Guide to Lightning Talks.

To be considered for a Lightning Talk, please complete the form below by midnight, Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
